About the shape of pearls
When a pearl is placed in an Akoya pearl oyster with a nucleus, a layer of pearls wraps around the nucleus, making it round. The closer you are to a beautiful perfect circle, the better, but not all of them will be round.
In the sea, if the nucleus moves or is misaligned and touches other body tissues, it can cause deformities and blemishes.
Such a deformed one is called a baroque pearl, and its unique and interesting shape is prized.

The charm of baroque pearls
In the case of baroque pearls, too, the nucleus inside is round, so the part that is deformed becomes a lump of pearl layer. Therefore, the thicker the sash, the easier it is to shine, and depending on the way the light hits it, some of them produce complex interference colors.
Baroque pearls are often used in the design to give a more casual feel.
The difference between
"Baroque pearls" and "Keshi pearls".
The difference between baroque pearls and keshi pearls is, in a word, the presence or absence of artificial nuclei. While baroque pearls have a nucleus, keshi pearls do not have a round nucleus. It is an accidental formation of sand grains and microorganisms that take the place of the nucleus when the shellfish breathes.
Hence, there is no limit to the shape and a variety of forms can be formed.
